We have created wonderful packages tailored for important romantic events such as engagements, weddings and honeymoons. Stay at either the Zambezi Sun or the Royal Livingstone for a minimum of two nights, and we will help you create a fairytale event.

Honeymoons
Couples can enjoy a heavenly honeymoon with every conceivable luxury at the Royal Livingstone Hotel or a experience a more earthy honeymoon at the Zambezi Sun. Honeymooners will receive a surprise gift and sparkling wine and fruit in their room on arrival.

Gardens
The Falls are surrounded by 20 hectares of cultivated gardens. Species of shrubs, aloe and over 2000 palms have been introduced to the indigenous landscape. Other imports are five meter high baobab trees.
Among the innovations at the Falls development is the establishment of a garden of 22 herb varieties to provide garnishes and flavourings for the hotel kitchens.

For this process, Sun International (Zambia) needs the following documentation:

An original letter from each person, authorising Sun International (Zambia) to complete the “NOTIFICATION FOR MARRIAGE FORM” on their behalf
Original letter of consent from both parents (If applicable)
Divorce certificates (if applicable). A Certified copy with previous marriage certificate
Copies of first 3 pages of each passport
Full birth certificates
If widowed, death certificate and previous marriage certificate
Full names and occupations of both parties as well as parents
All documents must be translated into English
All documents should be certified copies in blue ink.

The Council in Livingstone will publish the intention of marriage for public view.

When guests arrive, your Groups & Incentives co-ordinator will meet them on arrival and agree the remainder of their function detail. On the day of the ceremony, the SI (Z) representative will take the guests to the Council where they will complete (in front of the Registrar of the Council) an AFFIDAVIT IN SUPPORT OF APPLICATION FOR REGISTRARS CERTIFICATE (MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE).

They will be issued with a Certificate of Marriage at this office. Your Groups & Incentives co-ordinator may sign as a witness if so requested.

On the day before the wedding or on the day of the ceremony, the Bride and Groom to be are to report to the Livingstone City Council Office to complete the procedure of signing the marriage certificate. There are three options available to the guest to undertake this:

1. The Licensed Ministers Office
2. A Committee Room
3. Venue of Guest choice (This would involve the Hire of the Minister to conduct the procedure) Note: During this procedure two witnesses (preferably the biological parents) are required.

If the guest has a matrimonial contract, they will have to bring this along with them (drawn by their notary) stating such.

The guests must be married on the same day that the documents are presented. The ceremony can however take place the following day.
A licensed Priest or Pastor will conduct the ceremony on the date requested if so required.

The Law of Zambia Does Not Permit the following:

1. A marriage of any party under the age of 21years
2. Polygamy
3. A divorce after only 5 years of separation
