The Wild Coast Sun Country Club is a rugged beauty of a golf course. This Wild Coast golf course may be a daunting challenge for professionals and amateurs alike but its’ wide fairways and huge greens attract golfers of all levels. At face value the score card might suggest that this course is a bit of a push-over, less than 6,000 metres in length with 6 par threes. The reality is that the Wild Coast Sun Country Club is one of South Africa's most testing layouts. Designed by the renowned American golf course architect, Robert Trent Jones Jnr, this Wild Coast golf course has created a dramatic golfing experience overlooking the Indian Ocean.

Golfers who have played the course will know that the greatest challenge is to conquer the prevailing winds, which add an entirely new dimension to the course. The 13th hole, a par 3 played across a waterfall is generally regarded the best short hole in the country. For drama nothing can match the 12th, an outstanding par 5. Here the drive is hit from a high elevated tee to a fairway far below that snakes its’ way through a valley flanked by a dam and stream on the left with a natural hillock on the right. The more of the river you take on with your drive the easier the approach to the green.

In keeping with modern business trends, the Wild Coast golf course has boosted its’ fleet of carts to 60. This will cater for a full field of 120 players at any one time. Carts are compulsory but this does not detract from the competitive challenge. The Wild Coast golf course is open daily from 07h00 – 16h00.

Country Club

The Wild Coast Sun Country Club is open daily from 08h00 – 16h00, snacks are also served during this time. The resident bar within the club is open from 10h00 - 19h00. Golfers can have their clubs conveniently stored for them at the Club House when they’re not in use; there are also locker room facilities. The Country Club restaurant offers a great halfway house lunch and the bar has commanding views of the golf course and offers light snacks and drinks.

The Pro Shop located at the Wild Coast Sun Country Club specialises in stocking all golf equipment, the latest golf apparel and a large selection of logo golf wear and accessories. The Pro Shop is open daily from 07h00 - 16h00.

A putting green is situated close to the club house and a practice facility is available nearby. Golfers will need to bring their own balls and equipment.
